Frequently Asked Questions

What is NMT?

NMT, NeuroModulation Technique, is a form of infotherapy. Basically, this means that it uses quantum-level information as therapy for a wide range of physical and mental diseases. (Read about how that works below.) Infotherapy is based on the fact that each person has an "informational network" or system of communication by which cells, neurons, and every part of you communicates. This network of communication can be compromised, leading to illness. Infotherapists believe that a person's mind and body can be prompted to repair its informational network or receive new information on healthy function in order to heal itself in many cases. NMT is not opposed to traditional allopathic medicine: you can still follow your MD's advice and take prescribed drugs while doing NMT. In some cases, allopathic medicine will always be needed: to perform surgery, set broken bones, etc. But unlike much of the traditional medical establishment, NMT is designed to find and address the root cause of disease and to help you create the conditions for health, not just manage symptoms. NMT is not a medical practice and does not diagnose or treat any illness; rather, it provides your mind and body with the tools it needs to achieve health on its own terms.

What happens in an appointment at Moon Wellness Center?

In an appointment, the client is tested through an electromagnetic frequency reader to determine what is burdening his or her system (the source is of any symptoms the client is experiencing) and what the client's mind and body need to heal. Then, information on how a healthy mind and body could deal with the problem is presented to your mind and body. An appointment can provide great insight into what your mind and body are doing and what potential solutions may exist. Information gathered through muscle testing can help in making lifestyle choices like diet, supplements, and more. Beyond just gathering information on your current state, an infotherapy appointment will almost always be able to provide your mind and body with information to help it correct the problem.

What did you call me?

You'll hear me use the term mind-body: our minds and bodies are parts of an organic whole. So I'll refer to your mind and body together as your mind-body, since it is inaccurate and misleading to talk about them separately.

What is infotherapy?

Infotherapy works on the principle that Einstein demonstrated in the early 20th century: matter is made of energy. Energy, quantum physics tells us, is information in motion. Infotherapy interacts with the quantum-level information that forms our energy and matter in order to replace faulty or missing information and optimize communication and function in the mind-body.

How does infotherapy work without me consciously learning the information being communicated?

People's minds and bodies work to maintain many systems and elements in balance, called homeostasis. In order to remain in homeostasis, the mind-body constantly communicates among its parts, making thousands of decisions to regulate everything from heartbeat to immune response to trauma memories. Most of this moment-to-moment orchestration of the mind-body takes place in the other-than-conscious mind, meaning we're not even aware of it. NMT communicates with your mind-body on the other-than-conscious level, where the information and decisions regarding homeostasis are processed. Knowing how your body should fold proteins, or how it could react in a non-inflammatory way to an allergen, may be interesting---but understanding it on a conscious level isn't going to change the way your mind-body does it. So instead, the NMT practitioner reviews information silently, employing learned techniques to communicate it to the client's mind-body. Each step of the way, we test the results electromagnetically to see whether the client's mind-body has received and understood the information.

How can an NMT practitioner communicate with my subconscious? And how does infotherapy work at a distance?
Other-than-conscious communication is a feature of reality that has been overlooked because it is mysterious, but so is electricity and radio waves! A deep dive into quantum physics can help explain infotherapy. The fact is, common assumptions about materiality and spacetime don't match what quantum scientists have discovered over the past 100 years. Although we could talk about the science for hours, at the end of the day, I ask my clients to trust that I'm simply communicating with intention, using a method of communication built into the natural world. You'll have to see it to believe it. I've seen NMT work, so I believe that it can work.

How long does it take to see improvement with NMT?

Often, clients see improvement after the first session or two, but 6-8 sessions is enough to tell whether you're benefiting from NMT or not.

How often should I have an appointment?

Your NMT practitioner will use muscle testing to determine how often your mind-body needs infotherapy. It's common for me to see clients every 3-4 weeks until they are well, but some issues call for more frequent appointments, as you're able.

Are there any mental/psychological applications for quantum-level infotherapy?

Definitely. NMT infotherapy applications for the mind and emotions are some of the ones I use most frequently. There are dedicated NMT "pathways" or sets of information for PTSD, psychosomatic problems, beliefs you're having trouble changing on the subconscious level, emotional memory and response patterns in your cells, and much more. Additionally, many physical states of disease also have an emotional or mental component. Feel free to bring up any mental or psychological issue, and we'll explore the root cause(s) and how NMT might help.

What kinds of issues can quantum-level infotherapy be used on?

Since information is foundational to all parts of the mind-body and all of its processes, NMT can potentially be helpful with any issue that can be defined. Just tell your practitioner about your problem and/or your goals, and he or she will begin the process of finding out which NMT pathways (sets of information) may be helpful.

What kind of training did you do to become an NMT practitioner?

I have completed the training designed and taught by the founder of NMT, Dr. Leslie Feinberg, and am now a certified NMT practitioner. I have also studied extensively with a second, local NMT practitioner, Dr. Josh Huse. Dr. Huse has monitored my work during a practicum phase with a wide variety of clients.

What is the Professional Wellness Alliance, and do I have to join?

The Professional Wellness Alliance (PWA) is a holistic healthcare membership organization that provides protection for practitioners and clients. Since NMT is not a state-regulated activity, I have chosen to join the PWA to safeguard my clients and myself. This means I can only offer my wellness services to members of the PWA. Membership is free for clients. The PWA membership agreement, found here, defines what I can and can't do, and it requires us to settle any dispute or complaint through binding arbitration through a mutually agreed arbitrator.

Do you maintain client confidentiality?

Yes. I don't share records of your sessions or information with anyone without your express permission. Another benefit of Professional Wellness Alliance membership is the legal protection it provides. PWA Member Records are confidential and privileged private membership records and not medical records. Member records are not legally available and shall not be made available to governmental agencies but shall be available upon request to the member (you).

Are there risks associated with NMT infotherapy?

NMT doesn't have the power to make things worse. Since all that happens in an NMT session is that the client's mind-body is presented with information on healthy function that it can choose to use if it finds it relevant, NMT is educational not medicinal and doesn't carry the dangers many forms of medicine do. However, it is important to remember that healing can be uncomfortable. For example, eliminating gut parasites or toxins stored in the body often comes with some level of Herxheimer reaction, which is a group of toxicity responses including nausea, headaches, fever, chills, and aches that the body often suffers when it is getting well. A well-trained NMT practitioner is aware of the potential for a Herxheimer reaction when helping you address toxins and pathogens and will take steps to minimize your discomfort. When engaging in NMT therapy for emotional or mental issues, it is possible for NMT to stir up emotions in the course of assisting your healing. Just let your NMT practitioner know how you're feeling, and he or she will make sure to help you settle these emotions as soon as possible.

Often we "heal in reverse," meaning that things can be uncomfortable as they're healing, and we may even experience old symptoms as the mind-body deals with the problem. (Think of a fever fighting a virus, or a broken bone that aches as it's healing.) But be encouraged: the mind-body is highly capable of healing. NMT is here to help educate your mind-body to do what it was made to do---live an optimally healthy life.
